• Orlin P. Stucky, 45, lifelong resident of the Moundridge community, died Jan. 5 at Bethesda Hospital in Goessel after a long illness. He was a member of the Hopefield Mennonite Church, where the funeral was conducted Saturday afternoon by Rev. A. R. Shelly and Rev. Peter W. Voran. Mr. Stucky was a farmer and also was employed by the Moridge Corp. of Moundridge and more recently by the Hesston Corp. Survivors include three brothers, Milford of Newton, Clifford of Moundridge and Marvin of Galva; and three sisters, Martha of Moundridge, Mrs. Ed Stucky of Peabody, and Mrs. Carl Juhnke of Hutchinson.

ORLIN P. STUCKY

Orlin P. Stucky, son of Peter P. and Naomi (Goering) Stucky, was born near Moundridge, Kan. on Dec. 28, 1926. He received his elementary education at Pioneer School and also attended Moundridge high School. He grew to manhood on a farm near Moundridge where he made his home all of his life.

He was baptized upon his confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Saviour on June 13, 1943, by Rev. F. J. Isaac, and was received into the fellowship of the Hopefield Mennonite Church of which he remained a member until death.

He worked for the Moridge Corporation of Moundridge and more recently was employed by the Hesston Corporation, Hesston, Kan. He enjoyed his contact with people, making many friends. He was a good-natured and considerate brother and his loving manner captured the hearts of his nieces and nephews. Having been a lover of music, he enjoyed singing in groups such as quartets. His favorite song was, "Amazing Grace! How Sweet the Sound." He experienced this amazing grace and assured us that he was ready to answer the Master's call.

Throughout his lifetime, Orlin was patient in the midst of much suffering and continued his pleasing smile until his passing on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1972, attaining the age of 45 years and eight days.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are three brothers and three sisters, Martha and Clifford of the home, Milford and wife Martha of Newton, Ruth and husband Edwin Stucky of Peabody, Bertha and husband Carl Juhnke of Hutchinson, Marvin and wife Florence of Galva; 35 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and great-nephews; 12 uncles and aunts; other relatives and friends. His father, mother, and five sisters preceded him in death. The Family.
