His boyhood days were spent in the parental home on a farm near Moundridge.
He was baptized upon the confession of his faith in the Lord Jesus by Rev. C. J. Goering on May 30, 1937, and became a member of the Eden Mennonite church. He remained a faithful member to the time of his departure. He took an early interest in the work of the church and being gifted with musical talents, served his Lord through participation in various quartets and choirs both as member and director. At the time of his departure he was a member of the Eden men's chorus and director of the Junior S. S. Choir. He taught a number of years in the Sunday School department.

The departed was afflicted with a diabetic condition since youth and this contributed to his departure as the result of a diabetic coma. One evening he began to feel the effects of an oncoming attack and after two days of illness at home was taken to the hospital. Although all help possible was given him he quietly departed to his heavenly Home.
He leaves to mourn his early departure his beloved wife, Ruth; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John D. G. Stucky; two sisters, Mrs. Elva Stucky Dell and Evelyn Stucky; two brothers, Milton and Elmer; nine nieces and newphews and a host of relatives and friends.
