KANSAS Anna M. (Kaufman) Stucky

Sister Anna M. (Kaufman) Stucky wife of Peter C. Stucky, daughter of Rev. N. R. and Freni Kaufman, was born Nov. 2, 1894 five miles west of Moundridge, Kansas, in her parental home. Her childhood and youth she spent in the home of her parents attending the common school from there. later she continued her education at the Preparatory school at Moundridge, Kansas.

May 23, 1909 she was baptized upon confession of faith of her Saviour and became a member of the Hoffnungsfeld Church. The Holy Sacrament of Baptism was administered by the father of the deceased, Elder N. R. Kaufman.

On April 28, 1912 she was joined in holy wedlock to Peter C. Stucky with whom she was permitted to share the joys and sorrows of life as a faithful wife and mother, for 18 years, 9 months and 23 days.

She passed away peacefully at her home Feb. 5, 1931, at 8:30 a. m. Only a few minutes before her death she took part in the morning home-worship with her family. As a mother of the home she was especially interested in the spiritual welfare of the family and constantly directed them to her Savior. She was also a diligent church attendant. She loved the Lord's house of worship and participated in the many occasions of worship with her family.

She leaves to mourn her early departure her sorrowing husband and five children, one daughter and four sons, the youngest being only nine days old at the time of her death, her deeply grieved mother, four brothers, three sisters, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, three brothers-in-law and six sister-in-law and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the home of the bereaved family at 1 o'clock and from the Eeden [sic] Church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Feb. 8, 1931.

Interment was made in the Hopefield Cemetery.
