Ohio Father of Two Killed by Fall at Storage Elevator

Archbold, Ohio. — An accident at the Tri-State Elevator in Elmira the evening of Aug. Mr. 24 claimed the life of Richard G. Stuckey, 34, of rural West Unity.

Mr. Stuckey, an employee of the elevator, and other workmen were loading a bulk truck with cattle supplement when the chute became clogged. He went up into the storage bin to clear the chute, and when he failed to return, the other workers found that he had fallen into the bin. The Archbold Rescue Squad released him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Sticky had been employed at elevators at Elmira and West Unity all of his life. He leaves his widow, Beatrice, a son, Daniel, and daughters Deann and Denise, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Stuckey of rural Arch bold; five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Aug. 27, at Short Funeral Home in Archbold. Bishop Walter Stuckey of the Lockport Mennonite Church officiated.
