MRS. MINNIE L. STUCKY [sic STUCKEY]

Minnie L. Troyer was born September 13, 1860, near Oak Grove, Ill., the daughter of Jacob and Catherine Yoder Troyer, and departed to her eternal rest on March 24, 1947, at her home in Bloomington, Ill., at the age of 87 years, six months and 11 days.

Early in life she accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the North Danvers Mennonite church. Later she became a charter member of the Carlock, Ill., Mennonite church, and was always faithful in word and deed.

On June 7, 1893, she was untied in marriage to Jacob V. Stuckey at Danvers. To this union four children were born. One daughter, viola, preceded her in death in 1908, and her husband preceded her in 1914.

Three children survive: Mrs. Elva M. Augspurger and Miss Erma of Bloomington, and Carl H. of Carlock. Her oldest sister passed away in February and her only daughter-in-law in January of this year. Four other sisters, one brother and her parents have also preceded her in death. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother, O. J. Troyer of Monroeville, Ind., and one sister, Miss Ida Troyer of Galesburg, Ill., survive.

She was a devoted Christian mother, and was always patient in her long illness.

Funeral services were held at the Carlock Mennonite church at 2:00 P. M., Thursday, March 27, in charge of Rev. R. L. Harzler of Bloomington, assisted by Rev. L. E. Troyer of Carlock. internment was made in the North Danvers Mennonite cemetery.
