• Mrs. Ruth Irene Stuckey, 42, who had taught second grade at the Pretty Prairie Grade School since 1953, died at her home there last Sunday. The former Ruth Irene Flickner, she was born near Pretty Prairie and was married to Marvin Stuckey at Moundridge in 1944. He died in 1947. Mrs. Stuckey was a graduate of Bethel College. She leaves her mother, Mrs. Lizzie Flickner of Pretty Prairie, one brother and four sisters. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday afternoon at the Pretty Prairie Mennonite Church, with Rev. Ben Rahn in charge.
