— Mrs. Melvin Strang, 33, the former Verna Goertz of Newton, died April 22 in Oak Lawn, Ill. and funeral services were held there on Friday. Surviving are her husband and a son, Craig; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Craig, Goertz of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Detrick Eck of Newton and Irene Goertz of Kansas City; and one brother, Kenneth Goertz of Macksville.
