Father of Six Killed While Working on Truck

Blackville, S. C. — The death of Omar B. Stoltzfus, 36, farmer near here and father of six children, was attributed to electrocution. The fatal accident took place while he was welding a hitch on a pickup truck at the Ray Miller body shop.

An estimated 500 people attended the funeral, held Aug. 9 at the Calvary Fellowship Church (Beachy Amish Mennonite). Aden Troyer of Sugarcreek, Ohio and Jonas Mast of the local church officiated.

Mr. Stoltzfus and his family had moved to the new Beachy Amish settlement here from Lancaster County, Pa. Survivors in addition to his widow, the former Katie Blank, and six children of the home include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Stoltzfus, brothers and sisters, all living in Lancaster County.
