Former Mission Worker Died
West Liberty, Ohio. — Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Stoltzfus, 92, at one time a worker at the Lima Mennonite Mission, were held June 10 at the Bethel Mennonite Church here. Rev. Edward Stoltzfus officiated, assisted by Rev. Joseph Snyder of Toledo, a grandson.
Mrs. Stoltzfus, the former Emma Rich of Lee County, Iowa, was married to Benj. B. Stoltzfus in 1868 [sic 1885]. From 1911 to 1926 they served as superintendent and matron of the Lima mission. He died in 1931.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carl Stuckey, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Wm. Weaver of Bloomington, Ill.; three sons, William A. of Beirut, Lebanon and B. Frank of Istanbul, Turkey, both university instructors, and Eli of Orrville; 27 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Miller of Wayland, Iowa.
