Retired Mountain Lake Businessman Dies
Mt. Lake, Minn. — Funeral services for John F. Stoesz, 76, retired businessman here, were held Feb. 15 at the Bethel Mennonite Church with the pastor, Rev. Harris Waltner, officiating.
Mr. Stoesz died Feb. 12 at his home after several years of failing health.
A native of this area, Mr. Stoesz began his business career as a young man when he took over operation of the Mt. Lake Oil Co. The business is now operated by his son, Wilbur Stoesz. In 1932 he acquired the Mt. Lake Motor Sales, and continued in that business until his retirement in 1959. He was active in his church and in civic affairs.
