ELIZABETH STEINGARDT

Mrs. Elizabeth Steingardt of Virgil, Ont., passed away a few days before the middle of June. She died at the age of 84, almost exactly a year after the passing of her husband. She was born in South Russia, came to Alberta in 1926 with her husband, moved later to Vineland, Ontario and finally to Niagara Township where the family farmed. In 1950 she and her husband retired to Virgil where they lived with several daughters.

The funeral was held in the Virgil Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. John G. Baerg officiating. Mrs. Steingardt is survived by three daughters, Sarah, Helen and Betty (Mrs. Isaac Loewen), and a son-in-law, Is. Loewen.
