KIDRON, OHIO
January 30, 1979

Recent deaths included: Leah Steiner, 53, who died at her home after two and one half years of illness. Funeral services were held at the County Line Mennonite Church. Her parents were the late John and Eliza Neuenschwander Steiner. Among the survivors are two sisters, Irene and Lila of the home, south of Orrville; seven brothers, Marvin of Orrville, Nathan of Dalton, twin brother Leo of New Comerstown, Truman of Dalton, Carl and Tillman of Berwick, Ont.,and Raymond of Dalton. A brother Cleophas preceded her in death.


Joel Sommer, 89, of Bradenton, Fla. died Jan. 15. An area resident for the last 15 years, he formerly lived at Orrville. He was married to Helen Lehman. Among the survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Elta Fetter of Smithville and Mrs. Clark (Sylvia) Yoder of Bradenton, Fla.


John Brubaker, 42, of Lancaster, Pa. who was a brother of Mrs. Donald Sommer (Barbara), died on Jan. 26.


John L. Berg, 71, died on Jan. 6 at Masillon Community Hospital. At the funeral services Marion Berg officiated. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Elvina) Bixler of Kidron and Mrs. Arthur (Marie) Royer of Orrville; three half-sisters and a brother. —Cora Miller.
