Ephrata, Pa. &#8212; SP4 Herbert H. Stauffer of Terre Hill, a member of the Hinkletown Mennonite Church, was killed in action on Feb. 20 in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam.

The 21-year-old infantryman had been on duty with the 9th Infantry Division since Nov. 5. He was a 1965 graduate of Garden Spot High school and a 1967 graduate of Industrial Management Institute in Reading. Prior to entering the service lat June, Stauffer was employed by Design Engineering Consultants Corp., Reading.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ammon W. Stauffer, and two brothers, all of Terre Hill.

Ephrata Area Youth Killed in Vietnam

Ephrata, Pa. — SP4 Herbert H. Stauffer of Terre Hill, a member of the Hinkletown Mennonite Church, was killed in action on Feb. 20 in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam.

The 21-year-old infantryman had been on duty with the 9th Infantry Division since Nov. 5. He was a 1965 graduate of Garden Spot High school and a 1967 graduate of Industrial Management Institute in Reading. Prior to entering the service lat June, Stauffer was employed by Design Engineering Consultants Corp., Reading.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ammon W. Stauffer, and two brothers, all of Terre Hill.
