Archbold, Ohio. — An all-day outing of a girls’ Sunday school class from the Evangelical Mennonite church here ended in tragedy Aug. 11 when one of the girl drowned in a boat accident.

Connie Stamm, 12, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Stamm, failed to come to the surface after the motorboat in which she and six others were riding overturned in Coldwater Lake, Coldwater Mich. The others were rescued by fishermen.

BOAT CARRYING SEVEN GIRLS OVERTURNS IN LAKE, ONE DROWNS

Archbold, Ohio. — An all-day outing of a girls’ Sunday school class from the Evangelical Mennonite church here ended in tragedy Aug. 11 when one of the girl drowned in a boat accident.
