Retired Teacher Called By Death at Berne

Berne, Ind. — Miss Rose Sprunger, 75, who taught second grade in the Berne schools for 33 years, died April 15 at a Fort Wayne hospital. She had been in failing health for several years.

Educated at Bluffton College and Ball State Teachers College, Miss Sprunger also taught several years each in a rural school near here and at Wadsworth, Ohio, for a total of 37 years in the schoolroom.

She was a native of this community and an active member of the First Mennonite Church.
