Berne Businessman Called by Death

Berne, ind. — Funeral services for Meredith L. Sprunger, 37, well known Berne businessman, were held Jan. 5 at the First Mennonite Church.

Mr. Sprunger died Jan. 2 at Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis after a long illness of carcinoma. He had undergone surgery at Muncie, Ind. some time ago.

A lifelong resident here, he owned and operated a service station on US-27 as well as operating a car leasing service. He owned several business buildings in Berne.

Survivors include his wife, the former Iris Jones, and four sisters.
