Metamora, Ill. &#8212; Funeral services were held at the Metamora Mennonite Church on July 18 for Alvin E. Springer, 69, well-known farmer here and a director of the First National Bank of Metamora. Rev. Milo Kauffman, pastor, officiated at the services.

Mr. Springer died July 15 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. A lifelong resident of this area, he never married. He was a member of the Metamora Church, where he served as treasurer for many years.

Surviving are two sisters, Miss Alvina Springer and Mrs. Martha Neumann, and a brother Raymond, all of Metamora; nephews and nieces.

Farmer, Bank Director Dies in Illinois

Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were held at the Metamora Mennonite Church on July 18 for Alvin E. Springer, 69, well-known farmer here and a director of the First National Bank of Metamora. Rev. Milo Kauffman, pastor, officiated at the services.

Mr. Springer died July 15 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. A lifelong resident of this area, he never married. He was a member of the Metamora Church, where he served as treasurer for many years.

Surviving are two sisters, Miss Alvina Springer and Mrs. Martha Neumann, and a brother Raymond, all of Metamora; nephews and nieces.
