Pioneer Tampa, Kan. Resident Died

Hillsboro, Kan. — Funeral services for Adam Spohn, a resident of the Tampa community northeast of here for more than 73 years, took place March 3 at the Tampa Mennonite Brethren Church. Rev. Louis Goertz and Rev. Herman Hiebert officiated.

Mr. Spohn, who came to this country from Russia with his parents in 1881, died Feb. 28 at the age of 84. he had lived in the Tampa community since 1883, retiring from the farm and moving to Tampa some years ago.

He and his wife, the former Anna Schultz, observed their 64th wedding anniversary last year. She survives, with nine children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
