CHILD TWO YEAR OLD, DROWNS IN TANK ON FARM AT BELLEVILLE, PA
Belleville, Pa. — On last Friday forenoon, June 14, a very sad accident happened at the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Spicher when their little son, Kore Spicher, fell into the water through near the barn and was drowned. The Spicher home is north of Belleville, and only a short distance from Kishacoquillas.
Kore was the third child, having two older brothers and a younger sister. He would have been two years old in July. the house yard gate was open, and Kore wandered into the barnyard, and to the water trough where the fatal accident happened, and where he was found by an older brother. Not more than an hour elapsed from the time he was seen playing in the house yard until his lifeless body was found. It is thought the little fellow climbed up onto the trough and overbalanced and fell in. There was a mark on his head which indicated that the drowning occurred in this manner.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home of Noah H. Peachey, a neighbor. Buial [sic] was in the Locust Grove cemetery. — Belleville Times.
