Corn, Okla. &#8212; Relatives in this area were notified that Mrs. Clarence Sperling, 50, of San Jose, Calif. was killed in a head-on crash in California on Oct. 14. Three teenagers in the other car also died in the tragedy, and a fourth died later.

Mr. and Mrs. Sperling were en-route to Reedley, Calif. to attend the funeral of an aunt at the time of the accident. Mr. Sperling suffered a back injury and was unable to attend his wife's funeral, held at the M. B. Church in San Jose on Oct. 18.

Those going from here to attend the services were Mrs. Sperling's brother and sisters, C. J. Grunau, Mrs. David Sawatzky of Weatherford, and Sara Grunau of Enid.

Fatally Injured En Route to Funeral

Hillsboro, Kan. — Word was received here by Mrs. G. W. Lohrentz that her niece, Mrs. Clarence Sperling of San Jose, Calif., was fatally injured Oct. 14 en route to Reedley, Calif. to attend funeral services for Mrs. P. E. Plett. Mrs. Plett was a sister of Mrs. Lohrentz.

Mr. Sperling was seriusly injured in the highway crash.

Crash in California Claims Five Lives

Corn, Okla. — Relatives in this area were notified that Mrs. Clarence Sperling, 50, of San Jose, Calif. was killed in a head-on crash in California on Oct. 14. Three teenagers in the other car also died in the tragedy, and a fourth died later.

Mr. and Mrs. Sperling were en-route to Reedley, Calif. to attend the funeral of an aunt at the time of the accident. Mr. Sperling suffered a back injury and was unable to attend his wife's funeral, held at the M. B. Church in San Jose on Oct. 18.

Those going from here to attend the services were Mrs. Sperling's brother and sisters, C. J. Grunau, Mrs. David Sawatzky of Weatherford, and Sara Grunau of Enid.
