Rebecca Faye Sommerfeld, 22, of Newton was found dead Apr. 7 near Hesston. Services were held Saturday at Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston, with Rev. Jerry Weaver officiating. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sommerfeld of rural Halstead; four brothers, Stan and Lyle, both of Sharon Springs, and Jerry and Glen of rural Halstead; two sisters, Mrs. Leslie (Janice) Dyck of rural Moundridge and Elva Bateham of Wichita. Miss Sommerfeld, who had been undergoing medical treatment, was an apparent suicide victim.

Rebecca Faye Sommerfeld, 22, of Newton was found dead Apr. 7 near Hesston. Services were held Saturday at Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston, with Rev. Jerry Weaver officiating. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sommerfeld of rural Halstead; four brothers, Stan and Lyle, both of Sharon Springs, and Jerry and Glen of rural Halstead; two sisters, Mrs. Leslie (Janice) Dyck of rural Moundridge and Elva Bateham of Wichita.
