• Katherine Sommerfeld, 86, a resident at the Bethesda Home in Goessel, died July 17 at Bethesda Hospital in Goessel. She formerly lived at Canton. Survivors include a brother, Ferd, of Halstead. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite Church.
