Long-Time Businessman Of Kidron, Ohio Dies

Kidron, Ohio. — Funeral services for Alvin B. Sommer, whose business career here spanned more than half a century, were held Feb. 10 at the Salem Mennonite Church. He died Feb. 7 in a hospital at Perry heights, O.

Mr. Sommer entered business over 50 years ago when he began operating a garage and service station on Kidron's square. He held the agency for several different makes of cars, and later went into the hardware and appliance business. Thirteen years ago the station and hardware business were sold to Junior Lehman, but since then he had been active in the retail furniture business.
