Retired Farmer Dies At Iowa City, Ia.

Kalona, Iowa. — Funeral services were held at the East Union Mennonite Church near here May 22 for William H. Snyder, 81, who farmed in the Kalona community for many years before moving to Iowa City 12 years ago.

Mr. Snyder died at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City on May 20 after a five-day illness. He was a native of Holmes County, Ohio.

Survivors include his widow, the former Clara Bender, six sons, six daughters, 41 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one brother, John Snyder of Orrville, Ohio.
