Orrville, Ohio. Funeral services for Peter J. Smucker, 80, prominent retired farmer here, were held at the Oak Grove Mennonite church Nov. 4. Rev. Gerald Studer, pastor of the Pleasant Hill church of which he was a member, officiated.

Mr. Smucker was born near the present home in Greene township and farmed throughout his life until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, the former Orpha Steiner; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Morrison of Wadsworth; one son, Paul of Smithville; eight grandchildren, six sisters and two brothers.

Mr. and Mrs. Smucker would have reached their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 15 of this year.

Retired Farmer Died At Orrville, O.

Orrville, Ohio. Funeral services for Peter J. Smucker, 80, prominent retired farmer here, were held at the Oak Grove Mennonite church Nov. 4. Rev. Gerald Studer, pastor of the Pleasant Hill church of which he was a member, officiated.

Mr. Smucker was born near the present home in Greene township and farmed throughout his life until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, the former Orpha Steiner; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Morrison of Wadsworth; one son, Paul of Smithville; eight grandchildren, six sisters and two brothers.

Mr. and Mrs. Smucker would have reached their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 15 of this year.
