BARBARA SMOKER

Barbara Smoker, daughter of Christian and Barbara (Keener) Beiler, was born Aug. 31, 1889 in Leacock Township, Lancaster County, Pa. She died Nov 24, 1981 at the Mennonite Home, Lancaster, at the age of 92.

She was married Jan. 23, 1913 to Samuel Z. Smoker. They lived in rural Gap until becoming guests at the Mennonite Home in August 1960. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in 1981.

She was a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite Church of Atglen, where funeral services were held Nov. 27, with Clair Umble, Christian Beiler and Allen Kauffman in charge. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Aaron E. of rural Gap and John N. of rural Kinzers; two daughters, Marian (Mrs. Omar) Stoltzfus of rural Quarryville and Anna Mary Smoker of rural Kinzers; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
