Friday afternoon at the Grace Mennonite Church west of Halstead. Rev. Arnold Wiggers and Rev. Carl Dirks officiated. The young man was employed near Silver City as a heavy equipment operator. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Smith of Silver City; five sisters, of whom two are still at home; two brothers of the home; and a grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith of Centralia, Kan. The Smith family formerly lived at Halstead, and moved to Silver City from Tucumcari, N. M. about four months ago. |
