EARLY-DAY SETTLER DIES AT AGE 90

Henderson,Neb. — Funeral services for Mrs. Helena H. Smith, 90, a resident of this community since her immigration from Russia in 1878, were held Feb. 9 at the Henderson M. B. Church.

Grandmother Smith, widow of Henry H. Smith, was the former Helena Jantzen. Her 90th birthday was commemorated at the M. B. Church last May . In August she fell and fractured her hip, and had been cared for at the Henderson Nursing Home since then. She died Feb. 5 at the local hospital.
