Abr. Siemens was born in South Russia on Feb. 23, 1860. He was converted in the year of 1885 and united with the Hebron church of Buhler, Kansas, and was baptized by Elder Bernhard Buhler. On March 4, 1885, he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Rempel To this union 5 children were born, two sons and three daughters. Mrs. Siemens passed away on April 21, 1893.
He was married to Elizabeth Regier on June 25, 1898. To this union six children were born, five sons and one daughter.
Mr. Siemens began ailing in February 1924 and on June 17 of that year he suffered a paralytic stroke. Other ailments became evident and it was deemed necessary that he undergo an operation which seemed to give him relief for a while. On Sept. 18, 1927, he suffered another slight stroke which caused his death on Sunday, Sep. 25. He reached the age of 67 years, 7 months and 2 days.
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, 10 children, 6 sons and 4 daughters, 14 grandchildren, thee brothers, one sister and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Hebron church Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 28. Rev. P. E. Frantz officiated and was assisted by Rev. Jacob Dirks. A mixed quartette rendered several selections. The remains were laid to rest in the Hebron cemetery. — Buhler Review.
