Roger Siebert, pastor at First Church, Hillsboro, Kan., died April 12 following a heart attack. He was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Great Bend, Kan. In 1961 he married Catherine Snyder. They have two children, Ruth and David.

Rev. Roger Siebert

HILLSBORO — Roger Siebert, 50, of Hillsboro, pastor of First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, died Saturday (April 12, 1986) at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita. He was the father of David Siebert of Newton.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with the Revs. Frank Keller and Mark Weidner officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Rest Cemetery, Hillsboro.

He was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Great Bend. He was married to Catherine "Cay" Snyder, who survives. He was a member of the church and attended Bethel College in North Newton.

He was the president of the Hillsboro Ministerial Alliance, president of the Central District Conference of the General Conference Mennonite Church and served on the Peace and Service Committee of the Western District, GCMC.

Other survivors include one daughter and one sister.

Friends may call tonight from 6 to 9 p. m. at Goertz Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Memorials are suggested to the General Conference Mennonite Home Missions or the Shalom Project of the Peace and Social Concerns Committee.
