Crooked Creek, Alberta. &#8212; A number of families from this community attended funeral services at LaGlace for the eight-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Siebert who was fatally injured in a gun accident.

While playing in the woodshed at the Siemens farm, the girl reached up to a shelf and a number of articles fell down unexpectedly. Among them was a loaded shotgun which discharged, the charge striking her in the head.

On July 18 Marilyn, daughter of N. D. Sieberts, La Glace, Alta., was playing on a workbench in the family woodshed with her 10-year-old brother. While urging their dog to jump up too, Victor bumped some hanging cables, which in turn touched a loaded shotgun hanging there. It discharged in Marilyn's face. She had been a Christian for three years; her sorrowing family know it was the Good Shephed's way of taking their little girl home. Rev. Jake Neufeld, Dawson Creek, officiated at the funeral on July 22.
