Minister Fatally Hurt In Fall from Balcony
Lititz, Pa. — Head injuries suffered in a fall from a balcony June 8 proved fatal two days later to Henry Shreiner, 43, well-known auctioneer and a minister of the Erb Mennonite Church near here for the past six years.
The largely attended funeral services were held at the Erb Church on June 13.
The accident occurred as Bro. Shreiner was standing on the balcony of a home in Lititz handing furnishings down to helpers in the yard below. As he handed a mattress down, the banister collapsed and threw him and an 8-year-old boy to the ground. The banister rail struck his head, and he died without regaining consciousness.
Survivors include his wife, the former Anna Heller, three daughters, Beverly Ann, Julie Lee, and Nancy Lou, all at home, and his mother, Mrs. Katie Shreiner of Lititz.
