Two-Car Crash Kills Stryker Woman

Archbold, Ohio. — Miss Bessie Short, 66, of Stryker was killed in a two-car crash at the intersection of U. S. 127 and a Williams County road near West Unity July 13.

The other car was occupied by Jan. H. Burkhard, 21, of rural West Unity, and his sister, Susan, 16, of Springfield. Both were injured.

Miss Short had been employed for 21 years at the Archbold school cafeteria, retiring one year ago.

Funeral services were held July 16 at the Central Mennonite Church with Rev. Dale Wyse officiating.

Miss Short is survived by one brother, Harold, of Fayette.
