Indiana Farmer Dies After Six-Month Illness
Goshen, Ind. — Myron C. Short, 53, who had farmed in Elkhart County the past 20 years, died here Nov. 11 after a six-month illness. Death was caused by cancer.
A native of Archbold, Ohio, Mr. Short was married to Bertha Emmert in 1937. They farmed east of Goshen for 15 years and in the Millersburg community for five years, moving to Goshen only a few days before his death. He was a member of the Elkhart County Holstein Assn.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Charles of Goshen; a foster daughter, Mrs. Carol Jean Von Drask of Chesaning, Mich.; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Nov. 14 at the North Goshen Mennonite Church, of which he was a member.
