Word was received here last week of the death of C. B. Shoemaker, 77, of Scottdale, Pa., longtime officer of the Mennonite Publishing House there. He was the father of Mrs. Nevin Miller of Hesston.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Scottdale Mennonite Church.

Born at Dakota, Ill. on Feb. 2, 1890, Mr. Shoemaker began his employment at the Publishing House in 1913. He served as manager of the book department from 1922 to 1935, and following that was secretary-treasurer.

Retired Publishing House Secy-Treas. Dies at Scottdale

Word was received here last week of the death of C. B. Shoemaker, 77, of Scottdale, Pa., longtime officer of the Mennonite Publishing House there. He was the father of Mrs. Nevin Miller of Hesston.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Scottdale Mennonite Church.

Born at Dakota, Ill. on Feb. 2, 1890, Mr. Shoemaker began his employment at the Publishing House in 1913. He served as manager of the book department from 1922 to 1935, and following that was secretary-treasurer.
