Two Fatal Automobile Accidents Reported During The Past Two Weeks.

A Tragedy at Belleville, Pa.

The Belleville, Pa., Times reports another similar highway accident which occurred there on Sept. 8:

E. Earl Stoltzfus, aged 18 years, second son of Elam M. and Rachel (Yost) Stoltzfus, of Cochranville was instantly killed last Tuesday Sept. 8, about 6:30 o'clock when the motorcycle he was riding and an automobile drive by C. G. Patton of Kinzer, collided at the Pennsylvania Railroad underpass in Atglen, at the foot of Zion hill.

Stoltzfus had left home to start a search for his elder brother, Christ. who failed to return after a trip over the holiday. Christ, however, was the first one to reach the scene of the accident after his brother was killed. The impact of the collision hurled Stoltzfus to the road and he suffered a fractured skull which resulted in instant death, according to Dr. G. I. Stephan, of Atglen, who was summoned to the scene.

The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the home conducted by John M. Stoltzfus, and at the Maple Grove Church conducted by Amos B. Stoltzfus, Gap, basing his remarks on 1 Sam. 20: 3, and John S. Mast, Elverson, using Jer. 10: 20. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
