FULTON COUNTY, OHIO FARMER DIED SUDDENLY AT AGE OF 54

Archbold, Ohio. — Henry A. Seiler, 54, a farmer here all of his life and father of six children, died suddenly at his farm home near Archbold Jan. 15. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 18 at the Central Mennonite Church, of which he was a member.

Surviving are his wife Lois and six children, all of the home aswell as four sisters and two brothers.

HENRY ALTON SEILER

Henry Alton, son of Peter and Lydia (Gearig) Seiler, was born Oct. 2, 1902, near Archbold, Ohio, and passed away suddenly at home on Jan. 15, 1957 on the same farm where he was born, reaching the age of 54 years, three months and 13 days.

He was converted in 1928 and was baptized and added to the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, to which faith he remained faithful until the end.

On August 25,1940, he was united to marriage with Lois Blosser. To this union were born six children, two sons, Derald [sic Derold] and Peter, four daughters, Virginia, Grace, Ruth and Evelyn, all at home.

He leaves to mourn his death his beloved wife, Lois, and his six children; two brothers, Amandus of Carson City, Mich.; Frank of Archbold; four sisters, Mary Ann Brace of Archbold, Alice (Mrs. Harvey Frick [sic Fricke]) of Defiance, Ohio, Ida and Myra (Mrs. Jacob Fricke) of Archbold; a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Those who preceded him in death were his parents, brother Benjamin and sister Elizabeth.

He was a kind and loving husband and father. He was active in Sunday school, always ready to do his part, and a cheerful giver in time of need, always ready to lend a helping hand. He was always one of the first ones ready to go into disaster areas to help. Last summer he helped at Grand Rapids and Flint, Mich. His place will be empty in the home, Sunday school and community.

Funeral services were held at the Central Mennonite Church Jan. 18, 1957. Min. Walter Stucky officiated, assisted by Min. Jessie Short and Min. Simon Stuckey. Burial was made in the Pettisville Cemetery. — Mrs. Henry Seiler and Children.
