Teacher Called By Death at Hillsboro
MISS L. SCHULZ TAUGHT ENGLISH AT TABOR COLLEGE & WINNIPEG
Hillsboro, Kans. — Funeral services for Miss Liesa Schulz, early day teacher at Tabor college, were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here, Rev. Waldo Hiebert, Dr. P. R. Lange and Rev. J. J. Toews officiating.
Miss Schulz passed away at the McPherson hospital on April 26 at the age of 63. She had been in ill health for several years. She came to this community from Russia with her mother and sisters in 1900, and received her elementary and high school training here. She was a graduate of the Dillenbeck School of oratory at Kansas City, and received the A. B. degree from Tabor College. She taught in elementary and high schools at Hillsboro, Holton, Augusta and other towns, and later served as professor of English at Tabor College and at Winnipeg College.
She leaves two sisters, Mrs. J. V. Friesen of Hillsboro and Mrs. P. P. Siebert of Inman.
