Pioneer Immigrant From Russia Dies at Protection

Protection, Kan. — Mrs. Anna Schultz, a pioneer Mennonite immigrant from Russia in the 1870s and a resident of this community since 1903, died here Sunday at the age of 98.

Funeral services were arranged for April 2 at the Protection Mennonite Church, followed by burial at the Coy, Okla. cemetery.

Mrs. Schultz leaves eight sons, seven daughters, 85 grandchildren, 216 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Cornelius, died in 1924.
