Mr. Schultz was believed to have been struck on the side of the head by the side mirror of a truck as he was attempting to cross Main St. The force of the impact knocked him to the pavement. He died in a Winnipeg hospital after undergoing a three-hour neuro-surgical operation.

Funeral services were held July 5 in the Mennonite Brethren Church at Steinbach.

FIRST TRAFFIC DEATH IN 15 YEARS

Steinbach, Man. — The first traffic fatality in 15 years occurred here July 1 when Abram P. Schultz, 79, died from injuries suffered the previous day.

Mr. Schultz was believed to have been struck on the side of the head by the side mirror of a truck as he was attempting to cross Main St. The force of the impact knocked him to the pavement. He died in a Winnipeg hospital after undergoing a three-hour neuro-surgical operation.

Funeral services were held July 5 in the Mennonite Brethren Church at Steinbach.
