Last September he suffered a heart attack, but made a good recovery and was able to resume his pastoral duties. On Aug. 4 of this year he was hospitalized with another attack, and suffered a stroke two weeks later.

Other pastorates served by Rev. Schultz were the EMB church at Henderson, Neb., the EMB church at Dallas, Ore., the East Swamp Mennonite Church at Quakertown, Pa., the Gospel Mennonite Church, Mt. Lake, Minn., and the Richfield Mennonite Church, Richfield, Pa.

Survivors include his widow, the former Catherine Claassen; four sons and two daughters.

Well-Known Pastor Dies at Steinbach

Steinbach, Manitoba. — Rev. Abraham H. Schultz, 53, well-known pastor of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church here, died in the local hospital on Aug. 27. The largely attended funeral was held in the church on Aug. 31.

Rev. Schultz had served in pastorates of both the EMB Conference and the General Conference Mennonite Church, and traveled widely in evangelistic work. He came to the Steinbach church in July 1966.

Last September he suffered a heart attack, but made a good recovery and was able to resume his pastoral duties. On Aug. 4 of this year he was hospitalized with another attack, and suffered a stroke two weeks later.
