He took up an oil distributorship here in 1923 which he continued until his death. In addition he operated a local auto agency from 1940 until last fall. He served on the city council for 13 years.

Long-Time Hillsboro Businessman Dies

Hillsboro, Kan. — Funeral services for Otto Schroeder, 75, long-time businessman here, were held June 17 at the First Mennonite Church, with Rev. Elbert Koontz officiating.

Mr. Schroeder died here June 13. He was a lifelong resident of this community except for several years spent on a homestead in Montana. He took up an oil distributorship here in 1923 which he continued until his death. In addition he operated a local auto agency from 1940 until last fall. He served on the city council for 13 years.
