FORMER GOESSEL, KAN. RESIDENT DIES

Ferndale, Wash. — Henry R. Schroeder, 85, formerly of Goessel, Kan., died in a Bellingham hospital May 1 after suffering a stroke of paralysis on April 16.

Mr. and Mrs. Schroeder moved here from Kansas in 1948, and observed their 65th wedding anniversary last year. His widow survives, with their three sons and three daughters and their families.

Funeral services were held at the Glendale Mennonite Church, where he was an active member.
