| + | • Ewald Schroeder, 56, died May 23 at Axtell Christian Hospital. He was a native of Goessel and a lifelong resident of this area. For the past 16 years he had been truck driver for Guerdon Industries. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the chapel of Peterson Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Spinder of the First Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Schroeder was the brother of Mrs. Sam F. Schmidt of Walton, Mrs. Marion Portlock of Newton, John Schroeder of North Newton, and Anton Schroeder of Halstead. Also surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis McKibbin of Newton and Connie Sue of the home; and one grandson. |
