● August Schroeder, 77, retired farmer of the Goessel community, died Sunday evening at the Bethesda Hospital there. Funeral services were arranged for Wednesday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite Church with Rev. Levi Koehn officiating. Mr. Schroeder and his wife lived on their farm until about nine months ago when they took up residence with Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Franzen, rural Canton. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Schroeder are sons Allen and Clayton of the Goessel area, a son Reuben Ray and daughter Mrs. Richard (Luella) Rempel, both of Denver, two grandchildren, two brothers and one sisters.
