&bull; Mrs. David J. (Anna) Schroeder, 63, of the Goessel community died Sunday morning at Salem Hospital in Hillsboro. The funeral was conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl Church, with Rev. Aaron J. Epp and Rev. E. J. Miller officiating. Mrs. Schroeder and her husband farmed in the Goessel community for a number of years, and later lived in the Elbing and Peabody communities before returning to a home near Goessel in 1963. She was a member of the Grace Hill Mennonite Church east of Newton. Surviving are her husband of the home; sons Earl of Newton, David P. of rural Newton, and Ivan of Mt. Hope; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Boese of rural Canton, Mrs. Ralph Janzen of rural Hillsboro, and Mrs. Rudolf Newfield of Peabody; 19 grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters.
