RICHARD SCHROEDER
Richard Schroeder, son of John J. and Anna Penner Schroeder, was born at Newton, Kan. on June 23, 1894, and died at his home in American Falls, Ida. on Dec. 21, 1957.
He spent his early life in Kansas. In 1906 he came to Idaho with his parents, locating in the area that is now Aberdeen. Here he later became a member of the Homestead Mennonite church. He farmed in the area for many years.
On April 1, 1923, he was united in marriage to Margaret Isaak. She preceded him in death Sept. 12, 1952.
He is survived by three children, Robert of American Falls, Ida., Ilene, Mrs. Hartzel Schmidt of North Newton, Kan. and Cloris, Mrs. Erwin Unruh of Dugway, Utah; six grandchildren, and two brothers, Armin of American Falls, Ida. and William of Sunland, Calif.
Funeral services were held Tuesdays [sic], Dec. 24, 1957 at the First Mennonite Church in Aberdeen, Rev. Walter Dyck officiating.
