— Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Schroeder, mother of P. I. Schroeder of Newton, were held Sunday afternoon at the Bethany Mennonite church Kingman. She passed away at the Axtell Christian hospital here Thursday, March 10. Other surviving children are Mrs. Emma Kaufman of Kingman and Jake and David Schroeder of Hutchinson. Her husband, Andrew Schroeder, died March 28, 1954.

MRS. FANNY SCHROEDER

Fanny (Voran) Schroder [sic Schroeder], the daughter of Jacob and Anna Voran, was born in Russia on Jan. 28, 1868, and came to America at the age of seven. the family settled near Moundridge, kans.

Mother was baptized by Elder Jacob Stuckey. On Feb 15, 1890, she was united in marriage to Andrew Schroeder with whom she shared both joys and sorrows for more than 64 years. He preceded her in death on march 18, 1954.

On Feb. 4, 1955 she was admitted to the Axtell Christian hospital in Newton, Kans. with a broken hip. She passed away to be with the Lord at noon on march 10, 1955. She reached the age of 87 years, one month and 12 days. She was a member of the First Mennonite church,Hutchinson.

She leaves to cherish her memory five children, one daughter, Mrs. Phillip Kaufman of Kingman, and four sons, David E. and Jacob of Hutchinson, Kans., Peter C. of Newton, Kans. and Edwin of Coldwater, Kans.; two brothers, J. J. Voran of Kingnman and Joe F. Voran of Belpre, Kans.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Kaufman of Kingman, Kans., 37 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren, together with a host of relatives and friends.
