Arthur, Ill. Couple Die In Ohio Crash

Sugarcreek, Ohio. — A head-on crash 1.7 miles east of Cambridge, Ohio the afternoon of Sept. 15 claimed the lives of three persons and injured three others.

Killed were Joseph Schrock, 66, of rural Arthur, Ill. and his wife Elnora, 63, who were passengers in a car driven by their daughter Drucilla, 40, and Russel H. Evans, driver of the other car involved.

Drucilla Schrock, her brother Levi Schrock, 30, and his wife Mary Ann, 31, of rural Tuscola, Ill. all were taken to the Cambridge hospital. Mrs. Levi Schrock was later transferred to a hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. The Schrocks' four-year-old daughter, Lenore, was unhurt.

Accident reports stated that Mr. Evans lost control of his auto and it crossed the median strip, colliding with the car carrying the Amish family.
