Arthur, Ill. Couple Die In Ohio Crash
Sugarcreek, Ohio. — A head-on crash 1.7 miles east of Cambridge, Ohio the afternoon of Sept. 15 claimed the lives of three persons and injured three others.
Killed were Joseph Schrock, 66, of rural Arthur, Ill. and his wife Elnora, 63, who were passengers in a car driven by their daughter Drucilla, 40, and Russel H. Evans, driver of the other car involved.
Drucilla Schrock, her brother Levi Schrock, 30, and his wife Mary Ann, 31, of rural Tuscola, Ill. all were taken to the Cambridge hospital. Mrs. Levi Schrock was later transferred to a hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. The Schrocks' four-year-old daughter, Lenore, was unhurt.
Accident reports stated that Mr. Evans lost control of his auto and it crossed the median strip, colliding with the car carrying the Amish family.

OHIO CRASH CLAIMS FOURTH VICTIM, MOTHER OF FIVE CHILDREN
Arthur, Ill. — This community was saddened by the head-on highway crash near Cambridge, Ohio which claimed the life of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Schrock and their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Levi J. (Mary Ann) Schrock, 36, all of the Amish settlement here. The driver of the other car involved also was killed.
Double funeral services for the couple were held Sunday, Sept. 19, and for Mrs. Levi Schrock on Monday forenoon. Both services were conducted at the home of Bishop Menno S. Miller.
The Schrocks' daughter Drucilla, 40, was in serious condition following the accident and their son Levi had leg and face injuries. The Levi Schrocks have five small children.
